  • why don't you stick your echeck up my a$$

So again in the how can it even be true game of ebay, I find myself scratching my head wondering what just happened.  Does it sound unreasonable that I would not want to take an echeck?  Paypal holds them for up to 14 (interest bearing of course) days and no one has ever been happy about those delays.  It is like surface mail, I don't offer that either, even though people say they are happy waiting for the item surface can take up to 42 days before I can make a claim against it for loss...do you want to wait 42 days...no one does, let alone 42, plus the 14 plus the 5 it takes for the payment to be initiated in a lot of cases.  I really prefer to sell and item and have it in your hands in 14 days, which is not always easy from Canada to begin with but it seems to be the point at shich people stop saying fast shipping etc and says things like simply thanks...but then give 4 stars etc when the item is clearly postmarked that I shipped earlier than listed etc and therefore out of my hands...but that is another blog.  To have a few listings cancelled is not fun, I fixed (LOL "fixed"...I took out what offended someone anyway) 40 listings, and cancelled 30 some more in my store to fix later...the store isn't free of course either, but I had 5 listings that had bids and they cancelled one of those today.  I have 4 more and wrote all those buyers to let them know perhaps I was an idiot to include the line in the listing, but in no way would THAT idiocy end up affecting a smooth and normal transaction should their listings get cancelled then, not to be overly concerned as to why and then not rebid.  I guess for now, I will continue to offer paypal until I can set up my own merchant account instead that is approved or course and I will not discourage bidding by saying it upfront, but I don't plan to take echecks and if that is where it ends...obla-di olba-da life goes on.

As always...thanks for reading, feel free to comment.
